We are a theater company focused on educating students of all ages through training and experience in all aspects of the performing arts. We incorporate a wide range of methods to provide a safe and productive environment for artistic exploration and discovery. Our focus is on, but not limited to, offering an opportunity for young talent to develop themselves creatively while building solid skills and personal relationships to aid in their future endeavors.

Footelights Theater Company is dedicated to the memory of a very special boy named Stewart Foote. Stewart was a close part of FOOTElights Founder and Artistic Director Kelly Nelsen's family for many years, having grown up just down the street. Kelly's brother Christian and Stewart were best friends, often seen riding their bikes up and down the road together. Stewart loved to meet new people and try new things and he brought a special light and laughter to everyone he encountered. When Stewart was 11 years old he suffered a fatal heart attack. We keep the "Foote" in Footelights to remember the light and laughter that children can bring to our lives and to keep Stewart alive in our hearts.
