FOOTElights Theater Company is a teaching-based company that travels around Connecticut to bring
the arts to students of all ages. We are currently in production for "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare.

Why are we called "FOOTE" lights?
Footelights Theater Company is dedicated to the memory of a very
special boy named Stewart Foote. Stewart was a close part of FOOTElights
Founder and Artistic Director Kelly Nelsen's family for many years,
having grown up just down the street. Kelly's brother Christian
and Stewart were best friends, often seen riding their bikes up
and down Coppermine road. Stewart loved to meet new people and try
new things and he brought a special light and laughter to everyone he
encountered. When Stewart was 11 years old he suffered a fatal heart
attack and passed away. We keep the "Foote" in Footelights to remember the
light and laughter that children can bring to our lives and to keep Stewart
alive in our hearts.
